When the fish are feeding on minnows and shad, this lure can't be beat.  It can be cast, move through the water column.  It can be trolled and when close to the boat, let it settle to the bottom and jig it vertically several times.  Great for anything that swims.

Last Saturday I was test driving a Hobie kayak I just bought in the Sunset Beach, CA., bay. I was using all types of soft 3″ plastics trying to urge some strikes from Sandies bass and maybe a halibut. Needless to say after three hours, I was about to hang it up when I noticed a large cloud of bait fish in various parts of the bay. The wind was kicking up and the only plastic jig I had that matched the bait was the Minnow Paddle Fry (MPF). The MPF was getting a few bites landing a small sandie. The next one was a big bite, taking line (4lb Maxi) but I never saw it, eventually coming off. Needless to say the third was another good size fish. I fought this fish for about 10 minutes and it kept taking line when it got closer to the boat. Finally I netted the fish, which was a 25″ flattie (halibut). Also noticed that the MPF was still in excellent shape after the back and forth with the flattie. Just ordered more paddle fry’s and next time I drive through St. George, UT., I will make it a point to stop by and purchase more jig heads and other plastics. The paddle fry saved the day from what looked like a total skunk. Thank you Gizit.

I just got back from a trip to Lake Powell with my 5 kids. we fished for stripers in the usual way of chumming with, and baiting with anchovies. we had 4 rods with real bait and 2 with a Gitzit paddle fry. I cant explain it but the paddle fry artificial bait caught 7 of the 11 fish, even though it was only on 2 rods. the next day none of the kids wanted to use the “stinky bait” anymore but all wanted the paddle fry and again caught fish without and real bait. Thanks for a good lure and helping me keep my hands clean.

Your product is great and it is just about the only soft plastic that I use to catch fish. I would love to order more Paddle Fry jig heads but I don’t see that you sell them in bulk anymore. I believe that the Paddle Fry Jig Heads is a major part of why the Paddle Fry is so successful. I catch more fish off the actual Paddle Fry head than using a different kind of jig head.

Gitzit, Thank you so much for inventing the Paddle Fry. I have caught so many fish on it, it is amazing! Last spring I caught a 5lbs large mouth bass on the Shad Paddle Fry. Not only do I catch big bass, I catch nice sized trout as well. This lure is a must have in everyones tackle box! Thank you, Gary
